Chobani Yogurt

Project Summary

Lea Electric was part of a massive construction effort on the fast-track yogurt plant that is capable of processing 11 million pounds of milk daily. The facility was completed in an astonishing 326 days. It encompasses 1 million square feet and the construction effort peaked at 1000 workers. Lea Electric’s scope was centered around PLC controls and wiring for the milk unloading and holding tanks. Lea installed PLC cabinets, ran stainless, welded cable trays, and ran, terminated and tested miles of control cabling and power feeders for motors, pumps, and process equipment.
